TREASURE

The Tin Woodman wanted a heart so that he could love and thus be happy “for happiness is the best thing in the world.” “Where your treasure is, so will be your heart.” Luke 12:34. As you consider sharing your treasure along gospel values pray for the insight and help to bring your giving up the Biblical measure.

Prayerfully reflecting on the many blessings you have received from God, please consider the following chart when determining your Stewardship of Treasure. Locate your annual income and figure the percentage of your current weekly gift to your parish family. Prayerfully consider TAKING ANOTHER STEP ON THE Yellow Brick Road to the next percentage level. For example, if you give 1%, prayerfully consider giving 2%.

If your giving is not on the chart, consider taking the first step of 1%. Strive eventually to reach the Biblical suggestion of 10% by giving 5% to your parish family, 1% to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal and 4% to your other charities or school tuition.

Please indicate your intention by completing your STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE OFFERING. After reading the remainder of this page and entering any comments, click SUBMIT.

Stewardship of Treasure Offering

In prayerful thanksgiving for the many blessings received, this is my/our proposed support of our parish community.

Amount $      Weekly Monthly

After prayerful thought about the amount of your gift - when you do not find yourself making excuses for its size and when you know in your heart that you have been completely honest with God and yourself - then your gift is the proper size.

“Where your treasure is, there is also your heart” Luke 12:34

I wish to wrap my gift in an envelope. Please see that I receive a box of envelopes.

Leaving a Lasting Testimony of your beliefs and values

Leave a Legacy to The Catholic Community of St. John Neumann…

Continue your Values and Beliefs in the Church through a Planned Gift. Such a gift, transferred at some future date, would direct some of your treasure to help provide services and benefits parish needs and growth of the Parish’s Ministry.

The Result—An Investment in People! A planned gift will help ensure the tradition of caring you have helped to build in our parish community to continue and be a lasting imprint.

Many options are available for you to help the church continue its service in the future. The following are some examples which can be further explained in more detail upon request:

Bequests—A will can be general or specific e.g. a set amount or a percentage like 5%, 7%, etc.

Securities—If they have appreciated there is an additional tax advantage.

Life Insurance—An irrevocable gift often provides a tax advantage.

Real Estate—Transfer can be made during one’s lifetime reserving the right to live with one’s family in the residence until no longer needed.

Charitable Gift Annuity—Provides a tax advantage and some income to the giver.

Tangible Personal Property—Many types or items can be gifted with a tax advantage; e.g. vehicles, art, stamp, coin collection, etc.

Outright Gift of Funds—CD’s, IRA’s, Savings

Memorial Gifts—can be designated for St. John’s to honor a Loved One.

Our Commitment to you for your Gift. Your donation will get the best possible use. The Finance Committee under the leadership of the Pastor thoroughly analyzes and examines all spending to help ensure the best and most cost effective use of all gifts.

Recognition of Your Gift.

How would a Planned Gift Affect Your Family? - Since a planned gift is tailored to you and your family, it would not unduly infringe on your desire to leave benefits to your family, relatives or friends.
